Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of CrispScribe. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Provider and eligibility

CrispScribe is operated by Kaurispring LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, with a registered address at 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into an agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use CrispScribe.

2. The service

The current CrispScribe website provides browser-based audio transcription, local recording management, Trash and transcript text export. The speech model runs on your device. Recordings and transcripts are stored in your browser and are not synced to another device or saved to a CrispScribe server.

A separate Python backend or cloud-processing mode may be offered later. It is not part of the current Pages version. Any such mode will be identified before it processes your content.

3. Accounts

Some sign-in features may be offered through Supabase and Google. Keep your sign-in method secure and notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. Signing in does not upload or sync your browser-local recordings. Google sign-in is subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices.

4. Your content and permissions

You retain the rights you hold in the media you select and the content you create. In the current browser-local mode, you authorize CrispScribe to provide the local application features you request; the audio and transcript stay in your browser and are not uploaded to CrispScribe. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to process the media and that any required consent has been obtained from people whose voices or personal information appear in it.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use CrispScribe to break the law, violate another person's rights or interfere with the service. In particular, you must not:

6. Transcription accuracy

Automated output can omit or misrecognize words, speakers, names, numbers and context. Review transcripts before relying on them or sharing them. CrispScribe is not a certified transcription, legal, medical or safety service.

7. Storage and deletion

Recordings and transcripts stay in the browser where they were created. You can move items to Trash and restore them during the 30-day retention period, permanently delete them sooner, or export transcript text. Items in Trash are removed after 30 days when the site is open or next loaded. Browser storage can be cleared or evicted by your device or browser, and CrispScribe cannot recover data lost that way. You are responsible for keeping any copies you need.

8. Plans and payments

The current Pages version does not collect payments or create paid subscriptions. If paid plans or usage limits are introduced, the applicable price, renewal, cancellation and usage terms will be shown before you enroll or incur a charge.

9. Intellectual property and feedback

Kaurispring LLC and its licensors retain rights in the CrispScribe software, interface, name, branding and original materials. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you. If you send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve the service without payment; we will not publicly identify you as the source without permission.

10. Availability, suspension and termination

We may update, maintain, suspend or discontinue features to operate or improve the service. You may stop using CrispScribe at any time. We may suspend access if needed to address a material breach, abuse, security risk or legal requirement. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to contact us.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrispScribe is provided on an “as available” basis without warranties the law allows us to exclude. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaurispring LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits a right or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable rights under applicable law, the state and federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service. These Terms do not impose arbitration, a class-action waiver or a jury waiver.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will post the current version with its effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice where appropriate. Questions may be sent to contact@crispscribe.com.
